The Challenge:
   2 sound businesses + 2 development teams
= 2 HOT businesses!

Keen to attend the '5 Stages of Business Renovation'?
Here's what others say:

"We really did get a lot out of the session and it has
definitely excited us even further about the makeover
challenge and our year ahead."

Many thanks for the positive Briefing Session this morning
– I came back into the office with fresh eyes and feel quite comfortable with the decision that my love for my job and
profession will help move my business  forward. I am not
too sure if it’s the business or me that needs the Makeover but will be very interested in going through the process.
Thanks for providing a very informative session and I
would love it if you popped in some time and gave me a
“fresh perspective” on what others see.

Note from Jacqui Jones: Your makeover wish may well
come true. Those presenting to the selection panel
(ie: the shortlisted businesses) will each receive a mini-
makeover to improve their presenting confidence.

Thank you so much for the briefing session. It was great
and kinda weird to be back in a “corporate meeting”.
I love
your enthusiasm - it’s contagious - and I am really excited
about the challenge…!!!

Keen to join the Makeover Teams?
Here's what others say:

1) WOW! What a brilliant idea to build interest in the BMC and expose those businesses involved 2) Xplore would love to be involved (and contribute to the spot prizes/goody bags) 3) I would love to promote this to our client base and actively encourage people to attend Well done Jacqui, I think this is a great idea!
Wendy Schollum, Director, Xplore.net

The Business Makeover Challenge is a fresh, innovative and well-coordinated initiative; Hawke’s Bay Today is excited to be involved from the outset.

Drew Broadley, Advertising & Circulation Director, Hawke's Bay Newspapers

Wow this (the Expo) sounds great! I have spoken to Paul and we'd loved to be involved. Kaylea Rawcliffe, EIT Business Relationship Unit

The Opera House plan sounds good and of course we’d love to be in the Expo. We could also offer a spot prize of a free personality assessment of a key member of staff worth $350. Steve Evans, Director, People Central

Applications have now closed for this year's Business Makeovers.

How have businesses applied for a Makeover?

  • Step 1: Online registration (open 14 Feb-18 June 2008)
  • Step 2: Attendance at the briefing session 'The 5 Stages of Business Renovation: Turning your Sound Business into a HOT Property’ either a small group session, or at the Expo at Hawke's Bay Opera House on 26 May.
  • Step 3: Every business that registered and attended the briefing session was able to apply for makeover selection.

The briefing session and Expo are information-packed and designed to add significant value to any business (or concept) at any age and stage. Applying for the Makeover is a real bonus, made possible by the generosity of participating E2theMax members who will provide products and services to the teams.
